Pointe Physical Therapy & Pilates specializes in working with dancers and performing artists, but our services are open to anyone looking for individualized physical therapy, Pilates, or movement-based care. Whether you’re recovering from an injury, looking to improve your strength, or simply want to move with greater confidence, we’ll tailor your care to your unique goals.
Not at all! While our expertise is rooted in dance and the performing arts, we welcome clients of all backgrounds and activity levels. Our goal is to help you move better, feel stronger, and get back to the activities you love.
New Hampshire allows patients to seek physical therapy through direct access, meaning you may begin physical therapy without first seeing a physician or obtaining a referral. However, your insurance plan may have its own requirements for out-of-network reimbursement, including a referral or other authorization.
Because Pointe Physical Therapy & Pilates is a cash based, out-of-network practice, we recommend contacting your insurance provider before your first visit if you plan to submit a superbill for reimbursement. Ask whether your plan requires a referral or authorization for out-of-network physical therapy and what your out-of-network benefits are.
Your first visit begins with a conversation about your history, symptoms, and goals, followed by an individualized movement and physical assessment. We’ll discuss our findings, begin treatment, and create a personalized plan to help you reach your goals.
In many cases, yes! An injury doesn’t always mean you have to completely stop doing the things you love. We’ll work together to determine what activities are appropriate for you and make modifications when needed, with the goal of keeping you as active as possible while progressing safely toward full participation.
While all three services focus on helping you move better, they serve different purposes and can often complement one another.
Physical Therapy is focused on evaluating and treating pain, injuries, movement impairments, and limitations following an injury or surgery. Your treatment may include hands on care, therapeutic exercise, movement retraining, and Pilates based exercises to help you recover and return to the activities you love.
Pilates is a movement based exercise method focused on strength, mobility, control, coordination, and body awareness. Sessions are individualized to your experience and goals and can be used for general fitness, cross training, or as a complement to physical therapy.
Movement & Performance Training is designed for individuals who want to build their physical capacity and perform at their best, whether or not they are currently injured. Training may incorporate strength and conditioning, Pilates, mobility work, balance, plyometrics, and activity specific exercises based on your goals.
Not sure which is right for you? That’s okay! Your needs don’t have to fit neatly into one category. We can help you determine the best place to start, and your program may incorporate elements of multiple services as your goals and needs evolve.
Pointe Physical Therapy & Pilates is a cash based, out-of-network practice. This allows us to provide individualized care without being limited by insurance restrictions. We can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Coverage varies by plan, so we recommend contacting your insurance provider to understand your benefits.
*Pilates Sessions and Movement & Performance Training are entirely self-pay and are not eligible for a superbill.
You don’t have to know exactly what you need before reaching out. Whether you’re dealing with an injury, returning to dance, looking to improve your strength and mobility, or simply want individualized guidance, we’re happy to talk through your goals and help you determine the best place to start.
